I'm a WordPress developer, and I'm curious about how AI tools can enhance my website-building process. I've heard different opinions on tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini, and I'm trying to figure out which one would be the best fit for my workflow. Any insights?

For web development, the best AI tool is really one that saves you time. ChatGPT remains a versatile option for coding assistance, while Claude is fantastic for in-depth reasoning and handling prolonged tasks. Perplexity shines in research but isn't built for heavy lifting. As for Gemini, I've found it a bit inconsistent. None of these tools can replace solid coding skills, but if you're familiar with WordPress and front-end basics, they'll definitely help speed things up!

Honestly, it really comes down to your specific needs. Claude often gets high marks for its ability to maintain context and deliver cleaner code. However, if you're looking for quick fixes, ChatGPT is pretty effective. Perplexity doesn’t offer much in terms of building but is handy for verifying best practices. The main takeaway is that honing your prompting skills and knowing when to step in and code yourself are key, regardless of the tool you use!

From what I've seen, Claude is a solid choice for many developers. It tends to grasp context well and provides better code structure, especially for complex WordPress customizations. In contrast, ChatGPT is fast and great for quick snippets or troubleshooting. I haven't used Gemini much for development, but it seems decent for research purposes. Personally, I use Claude for more involved tasks and switch to ChatGPT for minor fixes whenever I hit a snag. What kind of WordPress sites are you diving into? That might help narrow things down!

If you haven't checked out Junie yet, it's worth a look! It's integrated with JetBrains IDEs and has improved a lot recently. However, if you mainly code one-off WordPress sites and aren't keen on IDEs, Claude might be the better option for you.

Claude is basically my go-to now; it takes care of most tasks without wasting time on unnecessary meetings. I've been relying on it for the past six months—could hardly imagine working without it!
