Hey everyone! I'm building a new PC and I'm a bit torn when it comes to choosing the right CPU. This setup is primarily for gaming, but I also need it to handle rendering and coding for work. Here are the parts I already have: an ASUS B850-A Gaming WiFi motherboard, a Samsung 9100 Pro 2 TB SSD (might add another later), G.Skill Trident Z Royal DDR5 6000 CL28 RAM (currently on the lookout for a deal), a ROG Astra 5080 GPU, and a Lian Li Edge 1000W power supply. Any recommendations on which CPU would fit well with this build? Thanks in advance for your help!

Given your setup, you can’t go wrong with the 9850X3D or 9950X3D. They’ll both handle gaming and your work tasks with ease. Definitely check them out!

Wait, did the 9850X3D just drop? I completely missed that news!

I'd personally suggest the 9950X3D if you're comfortable with the price. It's top-tier for gaming and really shines with rendering workloads as well. If you're more budget-conscious, then stepping down to the 9800X3D or 9850X3D is a smart move, too.

Sounds like the 9950 is the way to go since everyone’s recommending it! Gonna make the purchase!

If budget isn't a problem, I’d recommend going for the 9950X3D. It's a powerhouse for both gaming and productivity tasks. If you want to save some cash, the 9800X3D is still a great option, but the 9950X3D is worth it for performance.

Gotcha! I wasn't aware there was a 9850X3D either. Guess I’m out of the loop!
