What’s the Best Domain Registrar and How Do They Differ?

I'm trying to find the best domain registrar since there are so many options out there, and I'm really unclear about the differences between them. I also learned that WordPress offers domain registration, but it seems like not a lot of people are talking about it. Does that mean it's not as good? I'm looking for some advice. Thanks!

I've had a great experience with Porkbun. They’re super reliable and I've never faced any issues with them. Plus, their DNS propagation feels almost instant! Definitely a solid choice if you're looking for something straightforward.

Namecheap is also a good choice! I've been using them for over a decade without issues. Although I recently switched to Cloudflare for their DNS services, Namecheap was great before so it's worth considering.

If you're looking for ease of use, GoDaddy is pretty beginner-friendly. They guide you through everything, which might help if you're new to this! Just keep in mind that domain registrations are typically billed annually, and non-premium .com domains usually range from $11 to $15 per year.

Overall, the most recommended registrars in the community lately are Cloudflare and Porkbun. Namecheap used to be a top pick, but they've been hiking their prices more recently. If you’re not very experienced, GoDaddy might just be the best bet for you because of their support.

I personally prefer Cloudflare. Just keep in mind that they require you to use their DNS service. If that doesn’t bother you, it’s a solid option! Just so you know, it's usually around $10 per year for a .com domain, but you'll need to be somewhat tech-savvy to navigate their setup.

What do you mean by tech-savvy? I'm not really familiar with all this!
