I'm in the process of building a gaming PC and I've got everything except the graphics card. I'm looking for something around $300 that can handle 1080p and 1440p gaming. Any suggestions?

For new options, the RX 9060 XT with 8GB is your best bet for under $300. Just be aware that you might need to adjust some textures down in certain games because of the limited VRAM. Really depends on what you're aiming to play.
If you can stretch your budget a bit, I’d say the 9060 XT 16GB is worth considering, especially for better 1440p performance. It might be just over $300, but it’ll hold up better in the long run than the 8GB variant.
Keep an eye out for used options too! You might snag a 6900 XT if you're lucky. Just know that either way, your CPU could bottleneck performance in some competitive titles like Fortnite.
If you're looking for performance, I’d definitely recommend going for a used 6800 XT. It can be undervolted to work within 210 watts and blends perfectly with a modest PSU. I’m using it myself and it runs great!

Totally agree! The 6800 XT is a solid choice. You're going to get a lot of bang for your buck there.
