I'm planning to attend the re:Invent conference in Las Vegas, and I'm trying to find the best hotel options. Since this is my first time in Vegas, I'm focused on both convenience and safety, especially because I anticipate commuting alone at times. I have coworkers going, but we'll all have different schedules. I'm looking for hotels, preferably Bonvoy or Hilton Honors, that are located on the strip and within a budget of $300 a night. The monorail at MGM Park seems like a decent option, but it might be too far from the main action. I've seen a lot of outdated recommendations, so I'm looking for current suggestions! I'll be staying from Sunday to Friday, and I appreciate any tips.

I'd suggest avoiding casino hotels if you can. They can be pretty overwhelming, plus it takes forever to get back to your room after a long day. I had a good experience at the MGM vacation resort. It has monorail access and makes traveling to sessions easier. Also, consider the Intercontinental or similar non-casino options for a bit of quiet.
If you're looking for a great spot, I recommend Encore. It's very close to the Venetian, where most of the main events are happening, and it has plenty of natural light. Just keep in mind that re:Invent takes place across several resorts, so you might end up having to walk or shuttle around a bit.
I understand wanting to be near the Venetian! The Linq or Flamingo are good choices, as they're just a short walk away. If you need a ride to further locations, you can Uber or hop on the free bus shuttles provided for the conference.
Yeah, I hear you! A calm retreat can really help after a packed day at the conference.
