Hey everyone! I just got my hands on a used 5090 and realized it didn't come with a power cable. I'm looking for recommendations for a good quality octopus cable that fits this model. I've seen some options on Amazon, but I'm unsure about their reliability. My current power supply is older, so I need something that connects 4x8 pins to 12. Also, I'm open to suggestions for a new power supply, as I've been told my 15-year-old OCZ 1250 watt might not be the best choice anymore. I've been using it fine for my 4090 and older systems, but I'm curious if I should upgrade. One power supply I found is the Corsair RM1000x. What do you all think?

You can find a lot of OEM cables for 4 PCIe to 12HPWR on eBay. If you want quality, an adapter from CableMod is a solid choice.
I found this one on eBay, but the big question is how can you tell if the OEM cables are legit and not cheap knock-offs? It’s tricky!
Did you get the 5090 used? If you can afford that, maybe look for a PSU that has a native 12V-2x6 connector. It could be worth the investment.
Honestly, I’d recommend getting a new power supply instead of risking it with your old one. A decent, reliable PSU will save you a lot of headaches in the long run.
