I'm looking to upgrade my current PC to get better performance in Battlefield 6, which is very CPU-intensive. Here's what I have right now: TUF B550 Plus Wifi motherboard, Ryzen 5 5600X CPU, RTX 3070Ti GPU, 16 GB of DDR3200 RAM, and a 2 TB SSD. I often hit 100% CPU usage while playing, leading to lag and FPS drops, which ruin the experience. I'm not on a strict budget, but I don't want to invest in an entirely new build. I've been eyeing the 5800X3D for its performance, but it's pretty pricey and hard to find. Are there any other AM4 options, preferably 8-core CPUs, that could potentially improve my situation? I've heard mixed reviews about the 5800X and 5900X as possible upgrades. Also, I've seen some mentions that increasing RAM from 16 to 32 GB has helped some users with similar setups. Any advice?

Honestly, your best bet at this point seems to be the 5800X3D or the 5700X. But with their prices skyrocketing, you might want to consider jumping to AM5 instead. Also, if you have a Micro Center nearby, check out their deals on these CPUs! They're often more affordable there.

I appreciate the tip! I live close to one, but I'm hesitant about a major upgrade. Would the 5900X or XT make sense or are they too much for my current setup?
