What's the best upgrade for my gaming PC?

I'm looking to upgrade my gaming computer and would appreciate some advice. Right now, my setup includes a GTX 1080 Ti, an Intel i7-7700 processor, and 32GB of DDR4 RAM. I want to improve my FPS in games, particularly in competitive Fortnite. My budget for this upgrade is around 350 euros. What should I focus on upgrading?

Honestly, you'll need both a new CPU and GPU to see a significant improvement. A modern Intel or AMD CPU could definitely help, and you can keep your DDR4 RAM. I’d suggest checking out the AM4 5000 series, like the 5700X or 5800X, but remember, if your RAM speed is below 3000, it could limit performance. For the GPU, while the 4060 or B580 are close price-wise, they don’t give a huge upgrade from the 1080 Ti. The 9060 16GB would be worth looking into, though it might exceed your budget.

What resolution are you gaming at? Your system is a bit dated, but not unplayable. If you're mainly after more FPS, a GPU upgrade would be your best bet. Look into getting a 9060XT 16GB or a 5060Ti 16GB if possible. Upgrading the CPU for you might require a new motherboard and RAM, which wouldn't fit into your budget.
