I'm building a 1440p gaming system around a Radeon 9070 XT and mainly play single-player games such as Cyberpunk 2077, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Baldur's Gate 3, and God of War Ragnarök, with some Counter-Strike 2 occasionally. I have about 1,500 PLN (roughly $400) for the CPU, motherboard, power supply, and cooling, while the GPU, DDR5 memory, and monitor are budgeted separately. I'd prefer not to spend much more unless necessary, but I also don't want to cut corners with an unsafe power supply or inadequate cooler. My current system is an i5-9400F with a GTX 1660 Super, so any modern AM5 setup would already be a major upgrade. Which processor offers the best value?

Use a Polish parts-pricing site to check the complete combination rather than judging the CPU alone. Add the parts you already own at zero cost, then compare boards, power supplies, and coolers together. A 7500F with an affordable B650 motherboard, a reputable 650–750 W PSU, and a basic tower cooler should be a sensible target without compromising the build.
The 7500F is hard to beat for price-to-performance on AM5. Just make sure the cost of DDR5 memory is included in the full build calculation. It can still make more sense than buying into AM4 now, since AM4 processors have become expensive and you would lose the easier upgrade path.
If you can find a good used deal, a Ryzen 7 7800X3D is another option, especially for games that benefit from extra cache. However, it may consume too much of the budget once you include the motherboard, PSU, and cooler. For a balanced new build, the 7500F or 7600 is more realistic.
The Ryzen 5 7500F is probably the strongest value choice for AM5. It offers excellent gaming performance for the price and should pair well with a 9070 XT at 1440p. A Ryzen 5 7600 or 7600X is also worth considering if the price difference is small, especially since the 7600X has worked well for other 9070 XT owners without noticeable bottlenecking.
That’s the direction I’m leaning toward. I’ve included DDR5, the GPU, and the monitor in the overall build budget, but the 1,500 PLN figure is what I’d ideally like to reserve for the CPU, motherboard, PSU, and cooler.
I’ve accounted for DDR5, even though it makes the total sting a bit more. I’d rather start on AM5 than save a little with AM4 and potentially replace the whole platform again later.
