Has anyone found any good options for purchasing servers without a long wait time? We had two HP DL360 servers on order with CDW before the end of December, but I was just informed that the SKU is no longer available. Now, the new SKU with similar hardware costs an extra $13,000 and has a delivery time of five months. I've done a bit of searching, and it seems like this is the case across most brands. I'm hoping someone has insights or options that I might not be aware of. Thanks!

It seems like HPE is moving away from selling bare servers and now offers mostly preconfigured systems. Unfortunately, those are also backordered and have price increases because they come with additional RAM. You might want to look at SuperMicro for barebones servers if that’s what you’re after.
It’s been rough out there for servers right now. If you think servers are bad, you should see the situation with network equipment and firewalls. It really forces you to plan ahead!
I just got some Fortigate 121G firewalls delivered quickly, so there are some success stories out there! Maybe explore different suppliers.
I can't really comment on HP, but we recently got some Pure storage arrays and Dell R660 servers from CDW, and surprisingly, some items are already shipping! I’ll check with their server specialist soon about more Dell options.
I work with a vendor and we currently have plenty of HPE stock ready to ship in just 3-5 days. If you're in need, feel free to reach out!
Have you tried xbyte.com? They might have something available that can ship sooner than other options.
Honestly, every time I've ordered from HP, it's taken ages for the products to arrive. It's become a real headache.

Yeah, the pre-builds are definitely causing some issues with availability and price. HP tends to have a knack for this kind of frustration!
