What’s the Best Way to Handoff a Completed Website to a Client?

I've just finished coding a website using Lovable AI, and I'm not sure how to hand it off to my client. I want to deliver a fully packaged website so I can finally get paid, but I'm not hosting it myself. What steps should I take to correctly transfer everything to them?

Honestly, why are you asking us instead of your AI? It seems like it could give you a straightforward answer!

Next time, you might want to create a separate account using your client's email just for them. That way, you can give them access directly once the site is ready. As for code transfer, definitely check how to move your code to GitHub and deploy it to a hosting service like Digital Ocean. It’ll save you a lot of hassle!

Before you transfer anything, make sure you get your invoice paid—definitely non-negotiable! To hand off the project, you can export it from Lovable by going to Settings and selecting either Export to GitHub or downloading the zip file. Once that’s done, send your client a preview link along with the final invoice. After they’ve made the payment, you can transfer the repository or zip file. A quick summary email of what you’ve built is a nice touch too!
