I mainly use Windows because I livestream and rely on several programs that I can't currently run properly on Linux. Linux sometimes gives me better gaming performance, but I need a Windows 11 setup that is as lightweight and well-optimized as possible. Should I use a particular edition, debloat it manually, or follow a trusted optimization guide?

For most people, Windows 11 Pro is enough, but the edition itself usually won’t provide a major gaming-performance boost. A clean installation, the correct chipset and GPU drivers, updated firmware, and removing unnecessary startup apps will make a bigger difference. Be careful with aggressive debloating scripts because they can disable services that games, launchers, anti-cheat tools, or streaming software need.
You can start with a normal Windows 11 installation and customize it using an unattended-installation tool or a reputable debloat guide. Review every option instead of applying everything blindly, keep Windows Security and required gaming services enabled, and create a restore point or backup first. Manual optimization is generally safer than installing an unofficial pre-modified Windows image.
Linux isn’t automatically better for every game. Some titles perform very well, while others have compatibility, anti-cheat, or streaming-software issues. If Windows is required for your workflow, a clean standard installation with updated drivers and sensible background-app settings is likely more reliable than heavily modifying the operating system.
