What’s the Best Way to Upgrade My Old PC Without Spending a Fortune?

I've had my PC for about seven years now, and it's really starting to struggle with modern games like Marvel Rivals and Cyberpunk, especially when there's a lot going on. I recently got into the marathon playtest, which is exciting, but my PC buffers quite a bit during intense gameplay. What specs should I aim for to improve performance without spending too much? I'm pretty sure I need a new graphics card and maybe an SSD, but I don't know much about computer parts. Any suggestions?

First off, it's a good idea to check your current specs to see what's lagging. Your GTX 1660 is decent for light gaming, but it might struggle with newer titles. Upgrading to something like an RTX 3060 or 6700 XT could give you a nice boost. Also, since you mentioned having only 8GB of RAM, consider upgrading to 16GB if you can swing it – it's a big help for gaming and multitasking. Lastly, adding an SSD will significantly improve load times and overall responsiveness. Look for a good deal on these components, and you should see a nice performance upgrade without breaking the bank!

I agree with TechieTurtle32! An SSD might be one of the best upgrades you can do for overall speed. Just make sure you have enough storage or get a larger one if you play a lot of games!
