I'm really curious about the daily work life for DevOps engineers. How much time are you actually writing code compared to reviewing others' scripts or working on automation? What does the typical workflow look like? Also, what advice would you give someone aspiring to become a DevOps engineer? What are the key skills or knowledge areas to focus on in this field?

From my experience, I don’t code as much anymore since I’m in a lead role. My day is mostly filled with meetings and planning instead of writing scripts. It can be a bit of a trap if you enjoy coding! It's good to find that balance though.

So, what’s the right amount of coding you think? Like, how much hands-on coding experience should someone have?
