What’s the deal with 7-pin fans in my new PC case?

I'm building my first PC and I've run into an issue with the fans that came with my Foifkin case. They have a 7-pin connector, and I was planning to hook them up to a hub for PWM control. However, I've never encountered a 7-pin fan connector before and there's no information on it. Can anyone help me figure out what to do?

Are you using the Lian Li 7-pin fans? If so, you can buy an adapter to convert them to standard pinouts. That might make things easier for your setup!

Yeah, it's the Foifkin K11 model.

Looks like Foifkin is the brand you're dealing with! A lot of people have given it good reviews, but just make sure to double-check that your fans support PWM functionality, as some models may just have that listed as a feature without actually supporting it fully.

I saw it had high ratings and tons of reviews, but it did mention PWM 4-pin in the specs.

That could mean you're good to go! Just need the right connections.

It sounds like you might be dealing with a proprietary connector that combines fan power and addressable RGB into one. Have you checked if the case manual has any details on how to connect these fans? Also, if you could snap a picture of the connector and share it on imgur, that might help us assist you better!

Thanks for the quick reply! I'll take a pic and upload it shortly.

What’s imgur? Just curious if it's some photo sharing site.
