I'm curious why my PC fan is using Molex cables. Is this common for older fans or something? I'm trying to figure out how to connect it, especially since it's in a server case. Any insights would be appreciated!

Older PC fans sometimes used Molex for power, particularly in server builds. They’re not as common these days since newer fans use different connectors. If you're having a hard time connecting it, just ensure you're looking at the right connector type on the fan and the power supply.
It sounds like you've got an older style fan there, since Molex connectors are pretty outdated. They were commonly used in older models, especially in server setups. Make sure your power supply has Molex connectors available to plug it in; if not, you might need an adapter.

I've run into this too! Just check your power supply's options or you might end up needing to swap the fan for a newer one that uses standard 3 or 4-pin connectors.
