You can launch the Lifecycle Controller from the server’s boot menu. It’s built into the PowerEdge firmware and can guide you through firmware updates as well as operating-system deployment. This is a good choice if you want to perform everything locally before installing Windows Server.

For a single server, the easiest option is usually the iDRAC web interface. It can check Dell’s update catalog, download the matching firmware, and install it without creating a bootable ISO. You can also upload firmware packages manually if the server doesn’t have internet access.

For a custom offline image, Dell Repository Manager can build a bootable update ISO containing the firmware packages for the selected PowerEdge platform. You can mount that image through the virtual media function in iDRAC and boot the server from it. For multiple systems, Dell OpenManage is more practical because it can manage update repositories and deploy firmware across a fleet.
