I'm planning to upgrade my old i7 4790 setup to a new AMD Ryzen 7700X build. Can anyone share insights or figures on how much power the Ryzen 7700X draws when under load?

According to some benchmarks, the Ryzen 7700X can draw around 250W for the total system power under heavy loads, like when running rendering software.

That's interesting! In my tests with Cinebench, I saw peak power spikes of about 130W, so I wonder if those numbers reflect any overclocking.

The power draw really depends on whether you're overclocking or not. Without overclocking, the Ryzen 7700X usually caps around 120-130W under max load.

Just to clarify, I'm not looking to overclock. The CPU boosts up to 5.4GHz; is that considered overclocking?
