I'm planning to build a PC for my brother, but I'm uncertain about buying RAM right now. Is it a bad idea? Will RAM prices stay high for a while, or are they going to increase even more in the coming months?

If you're considering DDR5, the only kits that aren't super overpriced at the moment are the 2x8GB options. But you’d better act fast, as prices are likely to climb further!

It's looking like RAM prices will remain high, if not continue to rise, until at least late 2027. So if you're waiting for a drop, you might be in for a long wait.

I wouldn't get my hopes up for prices dropping anytime soon. Many believe the current prices might stick around for a couple of years. If there are any sales, they might be limited to certain types.
