When Does the AWS 12-Month Free Plan Actually Start?

I opened my AWS account about 9-10 months ago but didn't complete the full registration until 1-2 months ago when I added my debit card. They charged me a small amount (which was refunded), and my account got activated. I'm wondering, did my AWS free trial start when I first opened the account, or did it only begin after I added my card?

If you're looking to take full advantage of the 12-month trial, you might want to check if you can create a new account. You can modify your email using the format [email protected] to get a unique address, which might help you register for another free trial.

QuestionSeeker77: I see, that's a clever way to do it! But will it still give the same free benefits?

Your free trial actually starts when you complete the verification process by adding a payment method. So, it probably began just a couple of months ago when you added your debit card, not when you first opened the account.
