I'm building a personal website for my fiction, and some chapters may include mature or adult themes. The work is entirely fictional, won't be sold or monetized, and the site may eventually include related artwork that could be NSFW. For now, it will mainly contain text, images, and links.
Since this is a hobby project, I'm looking for free hosting with policies that allow legal adult-oriented creative content. The site is static, so I'd also appreciate recommendations for the best free platforms or workflows for hosting it. I'm currently considering options such as Neocities.

For a static site, Cloudflare Pages is worth looking at. It can host the site for free, and you can deploy directly from a Git repository. It’s a good fit if you’re comfortable doing a little setup and managing the site yourself.
GitHub Pages or GitLab Pages could work well for a static writing site, especially if you build it with something like Astro. Just be sure to review the platform’s current acceptable-use policies, since free hosts can have different rules around adult or NSFW material.
If you want something more focused on publishing than web development, a writing platform such as Substack may be easier. It won’t give you the same control as hosting your own static site, though, and you’ll still need to check its content policies.
Some paid hosts permit legal adult content, but they generally aren’t free. Hostinger was mentioned as an option with permissive policies, although it would involve a hosting fee. With free hosting, the main tradeoff is usually limited control and stricter or less predictable content rules.
