I'm looking for a company in Norway or elsewhere in Scandinavia that can replace the thermal paste on a graphics card. I assumed larger electronics and computer retailers might offer this service, but I haven't been able to find clear information. Is this something a regular PC repair shop would handle, or is repasting a GPU reasonably safe to do at home?

Repasting is usually manageable, but it’s more involved than simply removing a few screws. Warm the card slightly first, disconnect any fan or LED cables carefully, and keep track of which screws go where. Clean both surfaces with high-percentage isopropyl alcohol, then apply a suitable non-conductive thermal paste and reassemble everything evenly.
That makes me lean toward a repair shop unless I can find a detailed guide for my exact card. I hadn’t realized the thermal pads and fan connectors could make it more complicated.
Most independent PC repair shops should be able to do this, even if larger retailers don’t advertise it. Before handing over the card, ask whether they have experience servicing your specific GPU model. You can also search for a teardown or repaste guide for that exact model to see what’s involved and decide whether you’re comfortable doing it yourself.
Be careful with the thermal pads. They can tear when the cooler comes off, and replacing them requires matching their thickness and size. If the pads are damaged or compressed, using the wrong thickness can cause poor contact or uneven pressure.
