I want to upgrade the memory in a Lenovo ThinkCentre Mini and need DDR4 SO-DIMM RAM. I was considering buying from Micro Center, but I'm wondering whether there are better sources or ways to find compatible memory at a reasonable price. Used RAM is also an option if it's reliable.

PCPartPicker is a useful starting point because it compares several reputable retailers and lets you check current pricing. Just keep in mind that DDR4 is no longer being produced, so new modules may be unusually expensive.

eBay seems to have the widest selection for DDR4 SO-DIMMs, including matching Samsung modules pulled from business mini PCs. Check your exact ThinkCentre model first, then match the type, speed, voltage, and capacity. A matched pair can also help ensure dual-channel operation.

Used laptop memory from eBay is often the best value. Look for an individual seller with clear photos, good feedback, and a specific listing for the capacity and speed you need. I’d be more cautious with bulk listings described as refurbished or salvaged.

Retailers are still an option, but prices can be inflated because DDR4 production has ended. Compare the total price across several vendors rather than assuming a large electronics store is the cheapest.
