Which CPU and GPU Should I Choose for My Gaming Rig?

I'm looking to upgrade my gaming rig and I'm considering my options for both a CPU and GPU. Here are some of the potential components I'm looking at:
Intel CPUs:
- Ultra 5 245KF for $170
- Intel Core i5 14600KF for $220
AMD CPUs:
- Ryzen 5 9600X for $230
- Ryzen 5 7600X for $200
- Ryzen 7500F for $140

For GPUs, I'm considering:
- RTX 5060TI 16GB for $480
- RX 9060XT 16GB for $430

I game a lot and often run Spotify and Discord simultaneously. I also sometimes do workloads. The i5 14600KF seems appealing mostly because I already have 32GB of DDR4 RAM, allowing me to allocate more budget for a better PSU and motherboard. However, I've never tried an Intel processor before. What would you recommend for the best CPU and GPU combo?

If I were you, I'd go with the Ryzen 5 9600X and RX 9060XT 16GB. The Ryzen is a solid CPU for gaming performance, and that GPU gives you great value for the price. However, if you want to keep using your DDR4 RAM, then I think the i5 14600KF paired with the RX 9060XT is a solid choice too!

That's a good point! The RX 9060XT does seem to give better performance for the price compared to the others.

If you're doing workloads and school tasks, the 14600KF is a good bet. But if your focus is more on gaming, the Ryzen 5 9600X is a great option too. It runs cooler and has a better upgrade path. Just keep in mind that the performance in gaming is quite comparable between them. If you need to save money and stick with a solid GPU, the RX 9060XT is excellent for gaming!

Thanks! I'll definitely consider the Ryzen as an option for future upgrades.

I recommend going for the i5 14600KF since you already have the DDR4 RAM. It saves you some cash that you can invest in a nicer PSU or motherboard. Plus, I've been running a similar setup, and it handles gaming and multitasking like a champ! The performance difference in gaming is minimal between it and the Ryzen options, so you won't regret it!

That makes sense! I didn't realize it would be that efficient for what I want to do.
