Which GPU and CPU combo is better for 1080p gaming: RTX 5060 TI with i5 14400F or RX 9060 XT with R5 7500F?

I'm building my first PC and I have two deals I'm considering. One is an NVIDIA setup with the RTX 5060 TI and the i5 14400F, while the other is an AMD setup with the RX 9060 XT and the R5 7500F. The NVIDIA combo costs an extra 50€, but that's not a big deal for me. I'm mainly playing Fortnite and CSGO at 1080p on low settings and I'm really focusing on getting the best FPS possible. Which combo would you recommend?

Definitely consider the 7500F. It's showing an impressive performance boost in CS:GO and with the recent Windows updates, Ryzen CPUs like the 7500F have seen even better results. While the 14400F isn't bad, the 7500F stands out for competitive gaming and seems more favorable for titles like CS2.

Thanks for the insight! Leaning more towards the AMD setup now.

You might face some CPU bottlenecking regardless of the combo you choose when playing competitive games, so overall GPU performance won't differ too much. However, the R5 7500F is significant for lower settings in games like CS2. If competitive gaming is your focus, the AMD option is going to be beneficial from a performance perspective.

Both setups are quite similar, but I'd lean towards the R5 7500F. It tends to perform around 15% faster in most games, especially in CPU-heavy ones like CS:GO. Plus, with rumors that the AM5 socket will support future CPU upgrades, it feels more future-proof. Overall, for your specific gaming needs, the AMD combo is the better choice!
