I'm looking to upgrade my PC from a 3050 to a better graphics card. I've found a used 3080 listed for 260 euros, but I'm not sure if that price is too good to be true or if it's actually a good deal since other 3080s go for at least 100 euros more. On the other hand, used 4070s are priced around 400 euros, some even come with a warranty. My budget is tight, especially since I also want to upgrade my CPU, and I think I should consider a 3080 only if my Ryzen 5 2600 can handle it. My power supply can support both cards though.

The 3080 is definitely better for performance. Just make sure to ask the seller if you can see it in action or even benchmark it before buying.
Honestly, 260 euros for a 3080 sounds sketchy to me. I would steer clear of that unless you want to risk it and possibly regret later.
If you're aiming for max performance, remember that the 80 series is more suited for 1440P+ gaming, whereas the 70 series tends to be best for 1080P.
If you're worried about scams and 260 euros feels like a lot to you, I'd avoid buying a used GPU. There's a real risk of getting ripped off. It might be better to look for something like an Intel B580, Nvidia 5060 8GB, or an AMD 9060XT 8GB in the 300-400 euro range. Yes, it’s a downgrade, but at least you'll have a warranty and some options if things go wrong.

Oh, is the B580 really that affordable? I might consider it!
