Which GPU Should I Choose: 3060 or 6700 XT for my i5 9600k?

I'm planning to buy a GPU next month and can't decide between the 3060 and the 6700 XT. I've seen a lot of benchmarks and they seem to vary a lot based on the game. The CPU bottleneck with my i5 9600k isn't a big concern since I don't play very demanding games, so I'm looking for unbiased insights on which GPU would be better for my needs. Here are some games I'll be playing: Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3, The Last of Us Part 1/2, heavily modded Skyrim (over 1000 mods), Wuthering Waves, and Ghost of Tsushima. Apologies for the formatting; I'm posting this from my phone.

I'd go for the 6700 XT! I played a lot of those games at 1440p on a 6700 XT, and they ran pretty smoothly. I can't comment on the 3060, though, since I haven't tried it out myself. But it should handle your list well.

PixelProwler88: The 3060 with 12GB may struggle in some games at 1440p, especially compared to the 6700 XT. If you're looking for better performance, the 6700 XT seems like a solid choice.

I suggest sticking with NVIDIA. Their drivers and performance are generally more reliable in my experience. But yeah, weigh your options!

Reports say the 6700 XT is around 30% better than the 3060 on average, but I've seen it vary โ€“ some say it's only about 8% faster in real-world applications. Just do your research based on the games you like to play!

RealTalker: Thatโ€™s misleading โ€“ the difference isn't that big in every game. You should check benchmarks for the specific titles you plan to play.

I have to recommend the 6700 XT. I currently use an i5 9600K with a 7800 XT, but I've also tried the 3060 12GB before and I think the 6700 XT is the better option overall.
