I'm looking to buy a new graphics card for around £400 and I need some advice on whether to go for a used 3080 Ti with 12GB or a new 5060 Ti with 16GB. What do you think is the better option?

I personally lean towards the 3060 Ti for its efficiency and features. Even if the performance isn't as high as the 3080 Ti, the newer tech and features might serve you better in the long run.

While the 3080 Ti has more raw performance, the 5060 Ti's additional VRAM and access to the latest DLSS features make it a strong contender. If you have a newer motherboard, it would probably be the more future-proof choice.

I'd definitely recommend the 3080 Ti! It offers solid performance overall, but keep in mind it consumes more power. Just ensure your PSU can handle it since it runs hotter than the newer cards.

The 5060 Ti might be the better choice overall due to its lower power consumption and newer features. It delivers about 80% of the 3080 Ti's performance, but with overclocking, that gap can shrink to about 13%. Plus, it comes with a full 3-year warranty which is a big advantage if something goes wrong.

When considering a used GPU like the 3080 Ti, ask yourself if you can afford to replace it if it fails. A new 5060 Ti gives you peace of mind with that warranty. It's definitely worth considering!
