Which Graphics Card Should I Choose: 5070 Ti, 5080, or 9070 XT?

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with my options for a new graphics card. With the recent inflation, prices have really shot up: the 5070 Ti is between $1100 and $1300, the 5080 is priced from $1250 to $1600, and the 9070 XT runs around $650 to $850. I'm pairing whichever card I choose with an R7 7800X3D processor. My main concern is whether the 9070 XT will hold up against the games I want to play, like Forza Horizon 6, Black Ops 7, and Arc Raiders, all on a 1440p ultra-wide OLED monitor. Given the price gap, I'm torn between the Nvidia options—especially considering if the price difference between the 5070 Ti and 5080 makes the upgrade worth it. What do you think?

If you're mostly gaming, the 9070 XT should be perfectly fine. There's not much difference between it and the 5070 Ti, and you won't see any bottleneck issues with your 7800X3D. If you want the absolute best performance, you could consider the 5080, but it's more about comparing the 9070 XT and the 5080 at this point.

If your budget allows and you want the highest performance, go for the 5080. It'll give you the best future-proofing, especially for 4K gaming. But if you're tight on cash, 9070 XT is still a fantastic option that's closer to MSRP.

Agreed, but do consider that it's a huge price increase for just a marginal performance gain for the majority of games—I'd stick to the 9070 XT.

Exactly! The value you get with the 9070 XT is just too good to ignore at those prices.

The 5080 really only makes sense if you're pushing 4K resolutions. From a budget perspective, it doesn't stack up well unless you need the extra frames that come with 4K gaming. For 1440p ultra-wide, both the 9070 XT and 5070 Ti will serve you well, so I'd focus on those. If you’re looking to max out the refresh rate on a high-end OLED, then the 5070 Ti might be your best bet. But for casual gaming, stick with the 9070 XT.

I get that! I also thought about leaning towards Nvidia for the features, but that price jump just leans me toward AMD too. With a 165Hz OLED, going AMD could work really well for you.

Exactly! If you want decent graphics with those prices, the 9070 XT is a no-brainer.

Definitely go for the 9070 XT. From what I've seen, it performs just as well or even better than the 5070 Ti in games like Black Ops and Forza. The performance per dollar is great and it fits nicely for your gaming setup.

Just looking at those prices, the 9070 XT is the best value. It performs well for the games you've mentioned. I’d prioritize it over the 5080 or the 5070 Ti, especially since the price difference could go towards other upgrades like RAM.
