Which Graphics Card Should I Choose for Future-Proofing?

I'm looking to upgrade my graphics setup from a 3050 and want a card that can handle 1080p gaming at a steady 60fps until around 2030. I'm not aiming for max settings, but I definitely don't want the lowest quality either. I've noticed that the 6800 XT and the 3080 seem to outperform the 9060 XT by about 20%, but I've heard the 6800 XT might not scale well over time. On the other hand, the 3080 has better scaling, yet its 10GB of VRAM feels a bit short for the future, considering some indie games already push past that limit. The 9060 XT comes with 16GB of VRAM and FSR4 support, but it's less powerful than the others and pricier—€100 more than the 6800 XT at €300, and €50 above the 3080 at €350. My PSU can handle all these cards, and I won't be upgrading my monitor. What do you guys recommend?

I’d say steer clear of the 6800 XT for a 2030 future; support might dwindle by then. The 3080's 10GB could hold you back in a few years, especially with the next console generation coming out. The 9060 XT sounds decent with its 16GB of VRAM, but it’s still weaker. If you can stretch your budget, maybe look for something even better that'll last longer. It's a tricky position!

I get what you're saying! Upgrading the CPU too makes it tough to fork out more cash for a GPU.

You might want to check out the 5060 Ti if it’s available near you. It's got 16GB as well, but I know it can be pricey in some regions. They go for about €600 here, so I totally understand the hesitance. Just keep an eye on future-proofing—VRAM will be key!

Honestly, that's way too steep for me. I'm not sure it's worth that price.
