I'm considering getting another MSI Pro MP245V 23.8" Full HD 100Hz monitor like my current one. The issue is that my GPU only has one HDMI port in use, leaving me with three unused DisplayPort connections. Should I go for a DisplayPort to VGA adapter or a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter? Which would be a better choice?

DisplayPort is superior in every way! VGA is an old analog tech, while DisplayPort is digital. Honestly, VGA won't even let you use your monitor's full resolution; it's really just there for legacy hardware.
You should always opt for a digital connection when possible. VGA is outdated and analog, so it's best to avoid it in 2025. Most new displays even lack VGA inputs these days. Stick with DisplayPort whenever you can!
The best choice is definitely DisplayPort to HDMI. It helps eliminate potential picture quality issues and compatibility problems with VGA. Plus, it stays within the digital realm and supports the best resolutions and refresh rates. Try to avoid using DisplayPort to VGA unless it's absolutely necessary.
Using a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter works really well for me! It even carries audio, so I can plug in headphones to my monitor for extra sound options.

Exactly! VGA is outdated and not worth it if you want to get the best performance from your monitor.
