My friend is looking to choose between a MacBook, an ASUS laptop, or an iPad with a keyboard and mouse for editing videos. He's really into filmmaking, but he's getting mixed suggestions from people. Can someone help him figure out the best option?

In the end, it really comes down to what your friend prefers. All three options are solid for video editing, so go with what fits his style!

For serious video editing, I’d definitely recommend a MacBook. The performance is top-notch! But if he's editing as a hobby, an iPad could be a fun option because of its touch interface.

I think he'd be better off going for either the ASUS laptop or a MacBook. Tablets can be pretty limited when it comes to resource-heavy tasks like video editing. He should look into the tools he plans to use to make the best choice for his needs.

If he's just getting started with filmmaking, a MacBook Air might be perfect. It'll handle basic edits easily, but as he levels up, he may want to switch to a PC for better customization options. Macs are great but might require plugin updates that can be costly if they break with updates.

Honestly, a MacBook is the way to go. The M-series chips provide incredible performance for video editing. If he travels a lot, it’s super portable too! Windows laptops can be great, but they’re not as energy-efficient on the go.
