Which Linux OS is best for an older laptop?

I'm new to using Linux and I need some guidance on selecting a distribution for my laptop. It's not the newest model, featuring an Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 processor, 4GB of RAM, and an Intel Mobile 4 Series GPU. What Linux operating system would you recommend for my setup?

You could also check out antiX-Full 23, which is designed to be lightweight. It fits a lot into less than 2GB, making it perfect for older laptops like yours. MX Linux is also a great option, so you might want to try both on a USB stick and see which one you prefer!
