Which motherboard is the better choice: ASRock X870 Pro-A WiFi or Gigabyte B850 Gaming WiFi 6?

I'm choosing between the ASRock X870 Pro-A WiFi and the Gigabyte B850 Gaming WiFi 6. Which one offers the better overall choice, and would either board be suitable if I plan to upgrade to a Ryzen 7 9800X3D later?

The X870 technically has the stronger chipset and more features, but the B850 is already more than enough for most gaming systems. A lot of the extra X870 features may not matter unless you specifically need them. Since you’re planning to use a 9800X3D, I’d be cautious about choosing the ASRock board and would lean toward the Gigabyte option, assuming its power delivery, BIOS support, and cooling are suitable.

Neither board should automatically be ruled out for a high-end CPU, but it’s worth checking the specific VRM design, heatsinks, BIOS support, and CPU compatibility rather than judging only by the X870 or B850 chipset name.
