I'm looking to upgrade my GPU from a 2070 to an RTX 5070, which is the best option I can afford right now. I'm not going for any AMD GPUs, and the models I'm considering from my local vendor are:
1. MSI GeForce RTX 5070 SHADOW 2X OC
2. MSI GeForce RTX 5070 SHADOW 3X OC
3. MSI GeForce RTX 5070 VENTUS 2X
4. MSI GeForce RTX 5070 VENTUS 3X OC
They all have similar prices and should fit in my full tower case easily. I've heard that the Shadow and Ventus models are quite similar but differ in heat pipe material. There have also been some complaints about the Ventus 3X making high-pitched noises. Given these options, which one do you think I should go for?

I'd recommend going for one of the 3X models and skip the 2X. While coil whine can happen with any card, it seems like it might be less frequent with the Shadow models. If you really want to avoid that noise issue, the Shadow variants could be a safer bet, but keep in mind there's no guarantee you'll dodge it entirely.
I've got the Ventus 3X OC model, and I haven't encountered any noise issues in a year. It's been great for me!

I only had mine for a couple of months, but no sounds or problems yet either!
