Which PSU Should I Choose: Corsair RM850E or Cooler Master MWE V3 850W?

I'm upgrading my PC and planning to get an RTX 5070 Ti. Right now, I have an EVGA SuperNova 750GA, which can handle the power for the 5070 Ti, but I'm a bit worried about future upgrades since I currently have an i5 12600KF. I'm trying to decide between the Corsair RM850E and the Cooler Master MWE V3 850W, as they are both around the same price where I live. Which one do you think would be better for my setup? Thanks in advance!

Honestly, I’d stick with the EVGA until you really need to upgrade. It might feel like you're spending for no reason right now. But if you look at reviews, both Corsair and Cooler Master make solid PSUs. Just consider the price, if they’re fully modular, and what kind of warranty they offer.

I get your point, but the thought of using an adapter with the 5070 Ti worries me. Also, prices keep rising over here in the Middle East. The Corsair is on sale for $175 right now, which is tempting.

Just a heads up, the RMEs can be pretty noisy. At low loads, the fan turns on way too quickly, and the 120mm fan might not be as quiet as the 135mm in your EVGA. If sound is important to you, the MWE could be quieter, so I'd lean towards that instead of the RMe. But honestly, if you can, just use the adapter with your current PSU and keep it for now!

My current PSU has a 135mm fan, and I don’t hear much noise. I doubt a 120mm would be a problem either, especially with my two 220mm front fans keeping things cool.

The Corsair is a bit better, especially if you get the newer 2025 ATX 3.1 model. It provides a 12v-2x6 connector that you’ll need for your 5070 Ti. Definitely check out some detailed specs to make sure you’re getting the right model!

Yeah, just to confirm, it is indeed the newer model with the ATX 3.1 and the 12v-2x6 connector.
