Which PSU Should I Choose: Corsair RM850X or Seasonic Focus GX-850?

Hey folks, I'm looking to replace my dead 650w EVGA BR power supply and I'm torn between two options: the Corsair RM850X and the Seasonic Focus GX-850. Both of them have solid reviews, are 80+ Gold rated, offer 850W power, come with all Japanese capacitors, and have a 10-year warranty. The Seasonic is priced at £140, while the Corsair is a bit cheaper at £125. Reliability is my main concern since this is for my work machine, which is running a Ryzen 5700X and a 3060ti FE. I had a VS550 die on me once and took out my whole setup, so I'm a bit hesitant to go with Corsair again. Any thoughts?

Both power supplies are excellent choices! Just keep in mind that the VS line from Corsair is on a different level compared to the RMx line. It's similar to how a Lamborghini is still a Volkswagen; they’re miles apart in quality even if they come from the same brand.

I’d recommend going for the Seasonic. Honestly, between these two options, you can't go wrong. But if reliability is key for you, the Seasonic might have the edge.

If you're leaning towards Corsair, just remember the RMx series is much better than the VS series! It's a night and day difference, so don’t let past experiences with the VS550 sway your decision too much.
