Which RAM Slot Should I Use for a Single Stick?

I recently purchased a single RAM stick due to price reasons, with plans to buy a second one later. My motherboard is the Gigabyte B850M Force (AM5), which has two RAM slots. I'm trying to figure out which slot I should use for the single stick, especially since I'll be installing a large CPU cooler that might make it hard to change the slot later. Any advice would be appreciated!

If you’re only using one stick in a two-slot motherboard, it doesn’t matter too much which slot you pick. However, double-check your motherboard manual; it typically has a designated slot for a single module. Just follow those instructions to avoid any issues later.
