Which Ryzen 7 5000 Series Processor Should I Choose for Gaming?

I'm looking to buy a Ryzen 7 processor for my ROG Extreme X370 motherboard, and I have the whole Ryzen 5000 series lineup to consider. My primary goal is gaming, and I've noticed that the X3D models seem to offer the best performance, but they're quite a bit pricier compared to the base models like the 5700X or 5800X. In Ireland, the 5700X3D is going for around €350, while the 5800X3D is over €400. On the other hand, I can easily find the 5700X and 5800X for under €200 each. I'm planning to pair whichever CPU I choose with an RTX 4070, targeting QHD resolution, and I'd be happy with around 60 FPS. I'm thinking the cheaper Ryzen 7 might be the best way to go, and I could overclock it for better performance. What do you all think?

I’d recommend going with the 5700X because it’s also more power efficient compared to the others.

Would it be tough to overclock the 5700X to around 4.6 or 4.7 GHz?
