Why am I not seeing better performance after upgrading my GPU?

Hey everyone! I recently upgraded my GPU from a 2070 Super to a 5070 Ti, but I'm not noticing much of a difference in performance. In Battlefield 2042, I'm only getting around 80 fps, and my GPU usage is sitting at about 60-70% while my CPU usage is around 80-90%. Is this a sign that I have a CPU bottleneck? And should I consider upgrading to an AM5 setup to better utilize the 5070 Ti? Thanks!

For sure, it looks like your CPU is holding you back. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option, you could try getting the best AM4 CPU available, but moving to AM5 will definitely give you a better boost for the long term.

It sounds like you're definitely dealing with a CPU bottleneck. When your CPU usage is so high, it can limit the performance of your GPU. Upgrading to an AM5 CPU would be a great move to maximize the potential of your 5070 Ti. Just keep in mind that some CPUs can be in short supply or priced high right now.

Yeah, and even if your overall CPU usage isn’t 100%, keep in mind that some cores might be maxed out. It's worth upgrading!
