I record music and need to send my audio files to a group chat, but they keep sending as voice messages instead of actual files. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it?

I’m running into the same problem! It seems like there's been an update that makes audio files turn into voice memos automatically. I spent a lot of time on the phone with support trying to sort it out. You used to be able to send files from Mac without issues, but that's changed. If someone finds a solution, please share!
I just talked to Apple support, and it turns out that if you're using their 26.5 beta software, that’s likely the culprit. Resetting your Mac and signing back in might fix the issue. Just a heads up!
