Why Are My PC Games Lagging Even with Fast WiFi?

I've been dealing with an annoying issue for the past two years where all my PC games lag so badly that they feel unplayable, almost like a PowerPoint presentation. Even though I have a high-end PC and my WiFi speed is good, the games just won't run smoothly. I've swapped WiFi cards twice, so it's not a graphics issue. To add to my frustration, online games run just fine on my PS5, which is in the same room. I can't use Ethernet since my PC is too far from the router. I've tried countless solutions, but I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions to help stop this lag? I'm losing hope!

Have you checked your WiFi speed? A speed test can be helpful. Also, you might want to try pinging something from the command prompt to see if there's any packet loss or an unusually high ping. Let me know if you need help with the command!

I got 100 Mbps on the speed test. What CMD command should I use?

Just swapping WiFi cards doesn’t necessarily mean graphics are the problem. What's your graphics card? Make sure you have your HDMI or DisplayPort cables plugged into the graphics card itself and not the onboard display.

It’s possible that your PC specs are the issue here too. You haven't shared your hardware details, which could help figure this out better. Also, do your games still lag when playing offline? Sometimes, using an HDD can slow down loading times, causing lag during gameplay.
