Why are my Windows 11 laptop fans so loud even in idle?

I've noticed that my laptop's fans are really loud when it's just sitting idle or even when I'm just playing some music on YouTube. This used to happen occasionally, especially when telemetry processes were hogging my CPU, but now I can't see anything in Task Manager that seems problematic. My laptop is clean and I've never had this issue before, but it's been a recurring problem for the past week. I'm getting really frustrated with Windows right now and I'm even considering switching to Linux. Does anyone have any quick fixes or solutions for this?

It sounds like you've already tried a few things. Sometimes, background processes can cause fan issues even if they don't show up prominently in Task Manager. You could try checking for updates to your drivers or even roll back to an earlier version if it just started happening. Also, look into power settings; setting your laptop to a more power-efficient mode might help reduce CPU usage and fan speed.

You might want to check for any Windows updates that could affect system performance. A lot of users have reported overheating issues with Windows 11 due to recent updates. If all else fails, consider resetting Windows or checking if any specific applications are running in the background. Other than that, it might be worth checking hardware issues, like thermal paste on your CPU.
