Why Aren’t MAC Addresses on Device Labels Anymore?

I've noticed that most new devices, like the Lenovo Tab K11s, only have the IMEI and serial number printed on them. This is frustrating because when I need to register multiple tablets to ISE, I have to start each one offline to find the MAC address. Is there a better way to handle this, or am I missing something?

Have you considered using something other than MAC addresses for authentication? They can be easily spoofed, and switching to certificates for devices would enhance your security.

True, plus a lot of devices now use random MAC addresses by default for privacy. It's a common issue.

I totally agree! SCEP certificate deployment is pretty straightforward to set up and automate.
