Why Aren’t My Monitor Speakers Working?

I'm having trouble with the sound output from my monitor's built-in speakers. They used to work perfectly, but now they're not showing up in the volume settings or device manager. I only see my wireless headset listed, and when I disconnect it, the sound icon in the tray shows a muted speaker. I recently upgraded my graphics card, and I was using the internal graphics before that. Can anyone help me figure this out?

I had a similar issue. When I switched to a new GPU, my sound output settings changed. If your monitor has a specific audio setting or input select option, make sure it's set correctly. Also, if possible, try connecting your monitor via a different cable (like HDMI or DisplayPort) to see if that makes a difference.

It sounds like your monitor speakers aren't being detected because of the new graphics card. Make sure the audio output is set to your monitor in the sound settings. Sometimes when you switch graphics cards, the output defaults to the card instead of the monitor. Also, check if the speakers are unmuted and if other output options are available by clicking the speaker icon.

Have you tried rebooting your system? Sometimes a simple restart resolves these detection issues. If that doesn't help, check your monitor's audio settings too. It's possible that the input source has changed with the new graphics card.
