Why Can’t I Access My University Site From Home?

Hey everyone! I've been having trouble accessing my university's website through my home WLAN router. Whenever I try, it tells me that access is denied. I really need to use the site for submitting assignments and applying for courses. The strange thing is that I can access the site using a different internet connection, just not from my home. Does anyone know how to fix this? Any advice would be really helpful!

If you're off campus, try unplugging your modem for a bit; this might give you a new public IP. If you're on campus, contacting campus IT is your best bet to resolve the block, but they sometimes don't allow personal routers, so be aware of that.

I’ll definitely try that—thanks a lot!

You should definitely reach out to your university's admin for help. It sounds like your IP might be blocked from accessing their site from your home network.

I can't contact them! I can't access the university's portal to find the admin's email! So frustrating!
