I recently returned from a trip to China where TikTok is banned, and now that I'm in Italy, I can't seem to use the app. Every time I try to open it, I just get a black screen that says "No internet connection. Please try again later." I know I'm connected to the internet since I've deleted the cache, tried using a VPN, and even deleted and reinstalled the app. The first time I opened TikTok after my trip, I saw a message about transferring user data to China, but I'm not sure what that means. Does anyone have an idea why I can't use TikTok now and how I might fix this?

If your SIM card is from Hong Kong or using roaming data, that could be a factor. Sometimes those SIMs have restrictions. You might want to check your SIM status or try a different one if possible!
Some users have reported that their devices can get blocked from TikTok for a bit after visiting China. It might just take some patience for the app to allow access again. Just give it some time!
