I have a Samsung S20+ and my Dad has an iPhone 6. For quite some time, I've been unable to call or text him, even though he can reach me just fine. My texts don't go through, and my calls go straight to his voicemail. I've never owned an iPhone before, but I tried deregistering my number on the Apple website to ensure it's not still linked to a previous iPhone user. My number isn't registered with Apple. I can communicate with other iPhone users without any issues, so it's puzzling why it's only my Dad that I can't contact directly. He's definitely not blocking me since he can still reach out to me. Other family members with Android devices are able to call and text him without problems, so I'm really confused about what's going on. Can anyone shed some light on this issue? Just to add, I can call and text him through WhatsApp, but that requires internet access which he doesn't always have. I'm looking for a better long-term solution.

It sounds like your number might be on his block list. Even if he says he hasn't blocked you, it could just be an accidental block. I'd recommend deleting your contact info from his phone and trying to call again. You could also try calling him privately by pressing *67 before his number. If he can receive private calls and yours goes through, then it's likely that you are indeed blocked. Just a thought!
This is a tricky situation! You could also ask him to reset his network settings. Sometimes, weird call issues can be resolved that way. Just have him go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. It doesn't erase any data, just refreshes the network connections.

I see your point, but if you're able to contact him on WhatsApp, that should really rule out the blocking issue, right? Maybe there's just a glitch somewhere.
