Why can’t I extend my D drive after deleting the E drive?

I'm a beginner trying to manage my hard drive partitions. I deleted the E drive to free up space, intending to extend my D drive. However, the option to extend the D drive is greyed out. Is this because D is a primary partition? Any help would be much appreciated!

Also, posting a screenshot of your disk management would really help. There are a lot of factors at play that could affect whether you can extend the volume. If you can share that, we might be able to give you a more accurate answer!

It sounds like you need to delete the E drive before its space can be added to the D drive. Sometimes just converting it to free space isn't enough. Make sure you've deleted E first and then try extending D again!
