I've been a loyal Google Chrome user for ages, but recently something weird happened. After what I think was an update, all my bookmarks vanished. Now, the Chrome homepage just has a search bar and some generic links. Even when I try to search directly on Google, the results page shows Yahoo in the corner instead. Can anyone help me figure out why this is happening? Thanks in advance!

If all else fails, consider starting fresh with your bookmarks. I know it’s a pain, but sometimes it’s easier to rebuild as you browse.
Did you log out of your Google account by any chance? Sometimes that can mess with settings.
Could it be that your default browser settings got accidentally reset? Or maybe a new antivirus software is affecting Chrome?
It sounds like something may have changed your browser settings, potentially due to a sketchy click. Chrome wouldn’t set Yahoo as your default search engine on its own. Try resetting your Chrome settings or clearing your browsing data. If that doesn’t work, consider uninstalling and reinstalling the browser.
I was worried about that too, but the default search engine still shows Google. My saved passwords are there, but I'm concerned about where that change came from.

Nope, I'm still logged in. My icon is in the corner like always.
